Delivery and Warehouse Attendant

 

Division:                 Head Start        

Reports To:          

FLSA Status:                Non-Exempt

Salary:                    A-41,

 

 

SUMMARY

The Delivery and Warehouse Attendant receives and delivers supplies to the Head Start Centers within the four county service area.  Delivers children to various locations as authorized.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Receives and checks incoming supply shipments.

·         Sorts and delivers supplies within the four county service region.

·         Maintains inventory control.

·         Completes limited purchasing activities.

·         Expedites problem orders.

·         General maintenance and upkeep of warehouses.

·         Transports children to and from home or on field trips as assigned by the Head Start Assistant Administrator.

·         Maintains assigned vehicles assuring safety and occupational condition.

·         Participates in training sessions as assigned.

·         Participates in staff meeting as assigned.

·         Performs related duties, as assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS  

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

Education and/or Experience

Experience and training equivalent to a high school diploma or GED. Warehouse experience including receiving, sorting, property control, and delivering supplies. Clean MVD record and ability to pass and FBI fingerprint screening are required. Computer skills, bus driver experience, and experience working with children are helpful.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Working knowledge of IBM compatible computers, spreadsheets, DOS, database, and word processing software.

Certificates and Licenses 

Current, valid Arizona Drivers License.

The employee is occasionally required to independently drive a motor vehicle for extended periods of time (up to seven hours) within the region and state.
